News September 2006

After a 10 month break from touring, due to the birth of my baby daughter, I will embark on a 25 date tour, kicking off in Germany on Friday 6th of October 2006, at Hamtorkrug in Neuss. I will be airing more than a few new songs and visiting Switzerland for the first time. New territories are always a buzz. Towards the end of the tour I will play 2 nights in Berlin on the suggestion of Nikki Sudden and we did plan to do something together at Gallery Wallywoods but sadly Nikki passed away after a show in New York earlier this year. RIP Nikki.

The second Dillinger Guitar festival will take place over 2 nights this year and I congratulate Helmut Diehl on this marvellous achievement,expanding on the great night we all had last year at the City Hall in Dillingen.

To coincide with my tour we have posted 2 new songs for free download. (klick on titles below). These songs were recorded at my own studio in Cork and mixed and mastered by Chris Hermann at WabiSabi Music in Germany. The songs were played ?live? in the studio? my idea is to give the visitor/listener a sneak preview of the new stuff and how things ?should be? at the gig? kind of cyberspace busking! I even stood up while I played!!!

We are looking forward to corresponding friends, old and new. Your views, news, reviews or messages are always very welcome.

Recording for a new album should get underway in early December and all going to plan it should be available in early 2007.
